A search for SERENITY

Admiring a lavishing outfit at the famous boutique and craving to buying it, her desires were shattered the moment she had a quick glance at price tag. Belonging to a mediocre but elite family her wishes were fulfilled eventually. Although, there were some events when she had to bury her desires innocently- assuming it to be in the best of her interest.
Walking ahead lost in the thoughts of the beautiful dress that just captivated her, she turned round the corner of the road side only to find a kid lying on the footpath and fast asleep.  His ratty appearance described him to be a nine-year-old boy belonging to the class of the many unfortunate people in the country who are devoid of the basic necessities of life; or did he even belong to one? The Bundle of balloons placed by his side were the evidence of his earnings.
Sitting in the car, listening to the stereo when your car halts on the signal. You’re intruded by a mass of people considered uncivilised, who rush over to clean the car screen- only to get hushed up. If not this then some other child begging the Car walay bhai sahab to atleast consider buying the “gajray” for the beautiful baaji sitting beside..or requesting the abba jee to purchase the toys for the son continuously pleading for it.
The faces change but the story behind never changes.
Ever thought about being in their place? Living their story.. What if you were the one running over to the people just for that 5 rupee ka note which you consider worthless at the moment.
Depicting the events, making them hero, clicking them for your story, and earning fame is YOUR success but what about their story? Does it ever end? You move ahead, but THEY find themselves standing at the same place where YOU left to conquer the world.
The suffering around the world are often spoken in terms of wars, inflation, corruption, hatred, competition and the struggle for the survival of the fittest; yet all the suffering arises in the human heart. Where we are oblivious to the surroundings and dream about the advent of “change”. The change waits for us to be called upon. Unless WE are willing to reform, nothing will move beyond our sufferings. To attain this state, you don’t have to be rich or mighty. You just need to be considerate. Learn to smile. Learn to pass ON that smile and you will start to see this world as a better place around you.~ :)
