Young Guns of Pakistan & Today’s Limited Technology

Muslim scientists discovered many things, gave many theories which were proven afterwards and invented many things which are still in use may be in different shapes as in they were invented or as a basic ideology, there concept is still in use. Pin hole camera, windmill, fountain pen, clock, numerical numbers, soap, carpet, surgery, shampoo etc are very few basic inventions by the great Muslim scientists. But then the tables turned..

When few Chinese, back in 3000 or probably 5000 B.C. invented the first simple computer of the world named as Abacus, they had never thought of the notebooks, laptops, micros sort of small computers or mini, macro and super computers sort of powerful and giant computers with great processing speed.

Guglielmo Marconi, an Italian inventor who demonstrated the practicability of radio communication in 1985, may be he or no one else had thought of extending it to HAARP – (High-frequency Active Auroral Research Project). Weather could be used to a very dangerous extent and as an obvious war tool against humanity because “Angels Don’t Play This HAARP.” and it’s a bitter fact..

When the Motorola Company was planning the first cell phone in late 50’s, they might have not thought of it that the world will soon be on the finger tips of the people in sense of iphones and ipods, and it happened as all of us are witnessing it.

When in 1956, ARPANET tried the successful communication between two terminals in the means of Internet, they might have not thought that Internet will be the fastest and largest medium of information and now dream of “Back to the Future” and the “Time Machine” with the merger of Computer and Internet will come true.

Even the Demokritos, an ancient Greek philosopher, while giving the idea that there is something like atom exists, which was later on proved by John Dalton in his atomic theory, both of them were not even aware that the atom they are discovering will be destructive in the means of Atom Bomb for the future world.

After reading the facts written above,  one must have realized that since decades, we are producing outstanding poets with their heart touching poetry, marvellous cricketers, exclusive dramas and writers who can draw the real picture of the social life of present times, legendary actors, movies, songs or singers, outstanding sessions and episodes of music programs , may be one or two good politicians (keep your fingers cross), in others opinion, maybe we have gotten few good policy makers (still keep your fingers cross cause I think only good policy is lacking in this country)…

But …

How many Inventors do we have who can invent something nobody has invented? How many Think Tanks we have produced? How many Scientists? How many Physicists? How many Biologists? How many educationists? How much new & advance Architecture we witnessed in our country in last 30 years in the means of dams and canal system?

If luckily, you will get any one or even all of them, you can count it on your finger tips.. Question arises why?

Probably, reading up till here will not give you any idea and you will be confused about why the title is chosen as “Young Guns of Pakistan and Today’s Limited Technology.” 

Actually, it is about the youngsters and their limited use of technology.

For example, now a days, everybody carries featured cell phones. Beside its basic necessity, one hardly knows about all of its functions except forwarding messages, using it to tag a photo or change display picture no of times in a day, commenting on status on a social networking site as we love to be limited with unlimited resources and featured objects.

Transferring pictures, songs and other stuff seems to be easy but we don’t want to know how the Bluetooth is working. When someone touches your parked car and it alarms, you just press a lock/unlock button from your car remote and it recognizes only your car out of parked many outside.. why you are not interested to know the reason?

Why it happens that you cherish every moment of DLF IPL for one and a half month, all four seasons of it but still don’t know what is DLF?

May be one is aware that how many films or songs or games can come in 40 G.B. USB drive but don’t know how many M.Bs are there in 40 G.B?

Why you don’t have the curiosity to dig out things??

Just for a moment, Stop forwarding messages, tagging, commenting, liking music, uploading or downloading, switch off the Bluetooth and think for a while that since how long you heard about any drastic change which is made in the history of technology by any Young Gun of Pakistan? How long it has taken that Any Young Gun is coming with an answer of a question which was a puzzle for the world?  How long the Young Guns of Pakistan will take to understand that in the name of using the technology, the technology of today’s, you are only spoiling yourselves, when will you understand the difference that entertainment is required only to refresh yourself  not to kill your time.. precious time.. which is running very fast ..

In the history, when there was no country for us.. world was so far from us and now .. now we have a country but we are still so far from the world..

Let’s hope for the best.. Let’s have hope in Young Guns..
